I can't see anything offensive about it. There are gay people, some are liberal, there are liberals, some are gay. Why would Republicans be offended by Neocon? Neo conservative? Whats offensive about that? Its politically descriptive, if I were one I wouldn't be any more ashamed of being a Neocon than I would be if I were a gay liberal.

How does neocon compare to gay liberal. If you are talking about a gay liberal, then fine...but if you're using it as "liberals are gay" then that's ridiculous. Do you even know what neocon is???
neo is a prefix for new
con is an abbrev. for conservative
neoconservative is a term that refers to the ways of new conservativism, it's a common non-offensive term...why would neocons take offense to it, you make no sense! Sounds like you don't even know what a neocon is.

"gay Liberals" is not an offensive term to me, especially since I'm neither. "gay" as a reference to homosexuals IS offensive to me because I can remember times when I was a child that "gay" meant something beautiful, and Spring-like and flowery, and happy, etc. Now it just means sexually queer, and has ruined an otherwise beautiful word in the English language.
