You don't really need to decide until you've finished 2 years of basic courses in college. Taking those courses should give you a better idea of what you want to do.

Cat is right in saying that you don't have to make up your mind right away. The first two years of college are just like high school again- math, English, science, etc.

Upon completion of those first 2 years, you will need to declare your major. I understand that you can't make up your mind as to whether you want a career in teaching or psychology. There is a compromise between the two: educational psychology.

Educational psychology is the study of how humans learn in educational settings, the effectiveness of educational interventions, the psychology of teaching, and the social psychology of schools as organizations. Educational psychology is concerned with the processes of educational attainment among the general population and sub-populations such as gifted children and those subject to specific disabilities

Do whatever you think would give you the most joy in your life. A career is something that should make you happy and you should be very interested in it. Talk to your teachers. Maybe they know someone who can let you sit in on their 4th or 5th grade classes.

What hobbies or activities do you enjoy?

If you like camping, then go psychology, and help with summer camp kids.

If you like sports go for education, and be a coach

So find out what other things you like and how they may fit in to the career that you choose.
