I have the oportunity to meet people but when I'm face to face my mind goes blank and I can't think of anything to say or ask...

I don't know..I used to be a really shy person but working with the public for an airline for 31 years cured me of that..I don't mean this to sound insulting by any means..but a lot of shyness seems to come from an extreme self-centered-ness...You have to learn how to forget about yourself and just do things...if you make mistakes...you know what?---so what.

You know what I always do? I would look not on other peoples eyes coz that would make anyone conscious and uncomfortable(w/ the eye being the window to a person's soul ).. instead, I would look on the area between a person's eyebrows, right above the nose bridge or on teh forehead.
That way, it seems I'm still looking at him/her straight in the eye.

Because you are not confident in yourself. Go out and buy a nice outfit that makes you look successful.
