I last took birth control in April with my period starting at the normal time at the end of that birth control cycle, but since then my period has been about 6 weeks apart instead of the usual 4. So now I have no idea what schedule my cycle is on. My last period started the 29th of July. So according to THAT my next period should be around the end of this month but I don't know if that is right since the last two were late. The last couple of days I've been really nauseous, but don't know if I should take a PG test since you should take it after a missed period, but I don't even know really when mine is supposed to be. Has anyone else had something similar?

I'm not trying to avoid being pregnant so am not using any kind of BC right now. I am married as well.

I have been off the pill for four years( I was on for 12 years) and my periods have not been regular since I stopped them. The time between my periods varies greatly from month to month, its always a surprise. If I were you, I would wait til 8 weeks have passed after your last period to buy a test. If not Pg maybe you might consider going on a low dose pill to regulate if it bothers you alot.

Oh, yeah, experience here. Listen:
TAKE A PG TEST. NOW. stop drinking, stop taking tetracycline, stop smoking.
if clear, resume above.
ok, i was on the pill really young many years ago, and I didn't have a period for nine MONTHS after that. they gave me the drug that starts it again. ok. then no period for another nine months. jumpstarted again. then it got gradually back on cycle.
with the b.c. pills these days, it is down to a fine art. GO GET YOUR PG TEST, girlfriend. Better to know now than to hide your head in the sand. My very best.

I'd call you doc, they can give you correct info. It's not abnormal to be "messed" up after going off of birth control. I can take a while to get back to normal & your normal might be more then 28 days. I'd call your doc or even Planned Partenhood.

it's normal to have an offset period after discontinuing ues of the pill. in terms of the pg test, you can always go get the test for comfort; but it's probably unlikely that you'd need one.

i would take the test to be on the safe side. but keep track of your periods though and tell your doc. he/she can help. if the test comes back negative then you will know that its just the pill trying to regulate your body and relax. take care, be well and blessed.

I'd take a pregnancy test just in case and not start the pill (and use another form of BC!!!)

it absolutely confuses your body. you're taking away something that your body has likely merely gotten used to and now it has to regulate back, merely provide your body time :)
