I have a 1998 pontiac grand prix se. The low coolant light is on, but the coolant reservoir is full. I was told that the problem is the sensor, but I can't find it. Please do not respond if you are not sure. It is too hot outside for me to be working on my car in vain.

It is built into the bottom or side of the coolant recovery bottle. I,m not familiar with a Grand Prix but it could be that you have to remove the bottle to replace it.

It is located on the right side (passenger) radiator tank. About a third of the way down engine side of the tank. Usually square in shape and plugs into a hole in the radiator. Two plastic fingers latch it in place.

or it could be in the radiator tank on the passenger side. check both areas and if it is in the over flow jug then what you could do is drain the jug rinse it out because debri is probably in there and see if that helps when you fill it back up, or pray the light burns out
