I'm in a relationship which luckily didn't turn in to a marriage and which should have ended shortly after it began, I realize now (2 years later) that there was too much damage done in the beginning for it to ever have grown in to what I want a relationship to be, however in my stupidity I moved out of state with him and the company he works for pays for our house, it seemed like a great idea, a way to save tons of money and after working and taking care of kids on my own for years I could take a break and relax (the kids are grown), I had a job I hated at home and it was a way out of that and should have been great, it isn't, for now I'm stuck for lots of different reasons but we are getting sent to a new town in a few weeks so there I'll get a job and start getting my stuff together.

Why can't you get out? I have felt that way, but there is always a way out. It may be expensive, or embarassing, or difficult, but you have to decide what's most important. Are there kids involved? You may see that as a reason that you can't get out, and you may have to agree to live sort of separate lives under one roof if it's that important for both of you to be there for the kids. I would suggest counseling, but I honestly do not believe that counseling can fix it if you and your spouse REALLY no longer love each other. If you are angry, but still under it all, there is some love, then you have a chance.

Eventually you will get to the point where you get out or cheat to find the love. No one can live without the love.

Why can't you get out? No one's stopping you, the decision is yours if you want any happiness out of your life.

Talk to your spouse. Try getting help, and if that doesn't work then leave. Goodluck!

If you don't love him and are not happy, then leave, don't settle.
