well,, I have never had to submit to a credit check for a job. I know in a banking career you will have to have a credit check. How about looking for a job in as a customer service representative over the phone. I used to work for a company called Convergys and the outsourced for Directv.

Any job, really. I have heard of employers checking credit, but I have never had that happen to me, and I am in the graphic/web design industry. Nobody seems to care about credit when they employ me.
I would suggest contract work. You will never have anyone turn you away because of bad credit as a contract worker.
If you can, try waiting it out for 7 or so years if your credit is really that bad -- if you own nothing for 7 years, it will clear up on its own. I know it takes a while, but I have seen it work.

Well the employer is not supposed to use that information when hiring you, just because you may have bad credit doesn't mean you aren't a good worker. Although I wouldn't recommend working at a credit bureau.

It depends on your skills! What do you know to do best?
How much (practical) experience do you have?
What courses have you graduated?
It also depends on what you are willing to do, in order to win enough
money. There are many well paid jobs, in various domains; starting
with those on maritime oil platforms and ending with those available
in the movie industry for adults... There are also jobs where you can
win lots of money from tips (steward, on trans-atlantic luxury ships;
or "stripper"!); and jobs in dangerous fields (manipulating toxic sub-
stances); etc.
Because you haven't revealed to us your professional preparation, we
are not able to give you a competent advice.-
Nevertheless, we would like to suggest you a different approach for
solving your problem. Please access the following URLs:

You will discover that there are credit institutions that concentrate
on people having "bad credit".
We wish you good luck in your endeavors.

most companies don't really care about your credit. they WILL care if you owe 10's of thousands of dollars and have a sketchy job history. but for the most part, they look for things like your score and instances of fraud. many banks and financial institutions will be more picky when it comes to your score but for the most part, many companies won't even check your credit. it's really a non-issue as far as job performance goes. I am a loan officer with a national broker and I have ATTROCIOUS credit.

Credit does not matter for a job only if you were trying for a loan. So; any job would be good.
