My best friend goes to psychics and astrologers all the time! One thing that perturbs me is they all start the same way. They ask her, "What is your name?"
If they are all knowing, why do they have to ask your name?
Can't they "see" that? Or why is that not whispered to them from beyond by the ancestors she was trying to contact?

A real psychic can only tell you what she sees, the information she receives, about the present, or the past or the future. Sometimes they receive images, other times names, numbers, words, but they have no control over it.

Whether they are all-knowing or not isn't what matters. It is learning to live life in the most productive way through wisdom and knowledge of all that is good. We humans are not perfect. I, personally feel that the best answers come from the God. Everything that we need, want, and can have is here. We do not have to always pray for it as long as we understand and confess that God has provided those things for us to have with the understanding that he is first in our life. A psychic will tell you things you want to hear and maybe some things you don't care to hear. But, the truth of the matter is--we don't need anyone to tell us anything-no, not even other Christians. The sad part about it is that even other Christians act like psychics; because, they try to tell other people how they should live their life-which is not acceptable, nor is is justified. If we would all learn to Disregard what other people tell us and trust God for what he said, then, we don't need fortune tellers, psychics, nor other Christians. All we need is our faith in God and what he said, and thanking him that whatever we desire to have in this life=he has already provided. We just need to have the confidence to go out and get it with the strength and wisdom he blessed us with.

For for some id say its a way to personalize the reading to say like "Linda i see these things for you", as well its a way to gather better energy for a person (using a name) that they are about to read. Everyones understanding and abiliteis are different. There are those that can get the name without asking. As well some readers that dont need a name. Readers read for many people aday and hear all types of things whispered, but again being this so, a name helps to differentiate the person they are dealing with.

To the person who made the first remark as a psychic I have to say you are sooooooooooo wrong. There are frauds out there but their are also great people who are very intuitive .
Psychics go by energy vibrations energy vibes are not going to tell us your name or your birthdate .. Nor do all psychics connect with people who have crossed over so they arent whispered any thing. There are a lot of misconceptions about psychics and psychic ability.
Studying more about us before judging us doesn't hurt anyone;

Some psychics are fake but Sylvia Brown is in my opinion real my grandfather came up missing about 6 years ago and we contacted Sylvia not only did she tell us what happened she told us where to find him. Turns out he had been murdered and we even found the body where she said it would be. So since then ive believed in CERTAIN psychics.

It's not like you have some invisable all knowing person standing next to you that is like ( hey his name is bob and he has 3 kids 1 dog and his wife jsut left him) You have to pick up on the persons emotions and that takes years of practice. It's more like you can read people.... It's hard to explain... Oh well if you don't believe then it really dosent matter any way right. N-E-ways these freaks that charge for the gift that god gives are just fruds. You are right about that.

Did you know that you are psychic? That everyone is psychic? We are discouraged from birth to recognize our gifts and told that we are weird and sick if we speak of them. Having the psychic gift is like being able to draw, or paint, or play music. Develop it and you get better. I know, I know ... I've heard it all before...I KNOW what you are going to say. It's kind of funny actually. A report stated recently that the Psychic Organization went bankrupt.
You would of thought that they saw it coming.....
And to answer your question, psychics do not know everything.

No ,everything they say is based on life experience.yea they ask what your name is then your date of birth and so on.... before you know it there asking you more questions than you and there suppose to be psychics.I think no one can predict the future but god himself he's the one that created us.How can someone you don't even know tell you about your future predictions.

They are modern day charlatans. Anyway the footnote always says its for entertainment purposes. Its a good scam for bucks , and bucks is what its all about.
