you just can't take a woman's song and rewrite it for another! Princess Diana deserves her own song!!

Marilyn is on her own level. She was the original. Copycats evolved from her: Debbie Harry, Madonna and Gwen Stefani, not to mention many actresses over the years.

Marilyn, but I liked the fact that when Diana died, all/most of the money raised from the song being sold went to one of the charities that Diana had supported.

Marilyn, that song will always be about her..... Princess Di really does need her own song. I think Elton John did the second version for publicity.

I think that it is ludicrous for that song to be switched. What a sell out that was. I hate the one for Diana.

I love the one to Marilyn it was sincere and he always loved her,I honestly thought the remake was a little cheesy and I love Sir.Elton!Phantom quit bragging dammit!!!!!

I AGREE WITH YOU 100%...GOOD GOD DIANA'S FUNERAL WAS OVERDONE! I definitely prefer the ORIGINAL for Marilyn.
You know Elton said he would never sing the Diana one live again.
