I would venture no. People get stronger or faster or better in shape by exercising, resting and eating/drinking, allowing the body to heal itself (ie, muscle that was damaged grow back stronger), then breaking those fibers or elevating your heart rate again. I don't think doing it in two days is gonna fly. You'll just be really tired, sore and gained very little. But major kudos for toughing out two workouts. That's more discipline than a lot of people in the world!

The idea of an exercise routine is to exercise, rest, and then exercise again. If you take weekends off then you can exercise on Monday, Wednesday and Friday; with no more than two days off between each session, and stick to a schedule

Your body needs to rest and build new muscle. If you exercise one day and exercise again the next day then you are not giving your body the chance to build the muscles, so your exercise isn't helping you as much. You can exercise two days in a row if you use a different exercise routine. If you work on your legs (say by running) on one day then on the next day you don't want to do power squats (where you exercise your legs), you want to work on another area, say your upper body or your arms.

Your body needs that pattern of work, rest, work, rest so it can build muscle. You don't want to work the same muscle group without giving it a chance to build itself up. You also don't want too much time to pass between your sessions either because then your bodies metabolism slows down. That's why the on again off again routine is the best way to go.

It really depends on what kind of workout you're doing & if you're specifically training for anything.
When I was training for triathlons, I sometimes worked out twice a day, but it was usually two different workouts. For instance, I would bike in the morning and swim in the evening, or weight train in the morning and run in the evening.
Otherwise, it's really hard to answer your question. The one thing you need to do is not overwork the same muscles you previously worked if you are just beginning.
Good luck.

No, because for 2 reasons. Your body needs time to heal and repair. Second, you are probally more likely to not keep up a schedule like this. Your body is sensative to working out and burnig calories, so you don't want to trick it into going into a defense mood. Don't concentrate so much on the term"excercise". Just try to stay active:) For ex. I hate the gym, so I only go 2x per week, but I walk for an hour, then do pushups and sit ups on none gym days.So g'luck and be safe

Hmm... Mathematics don't always work in life ...say if I tell you that 20 workers working for a 30-day month can build a house. From that would you draw the conclusion that 600 (30 times 20 ) workers can build that same house in one day. Or to make it extreme 14400 (600 times 24) workers can build it in One hour. it is not possible.

I assume you mean two straight days?

It's not ideal because you're not giving your body time to recover. The typical recommendation is a workout every two days.

The other problem with your suggestion is the time between the last workout and the next time. You have to space your workouts evenly. Otherwise you're wasting your time.
