You're fine. Its probably just a fetal stress test, which usually consists of them listening to the baby's vitals for about an hour.
Some times they will enduce a few contractions with a medication, and listen to the baby's vitals to make sure the baby is withstanding this false labor well.
Honestly, the stress tests result in little more than your mental anguish. Usually, if they enduce some contractions for the stress test you end up in labor anyway.
Its excellent that you're 90% effaced, that means you have that much less to do when you start labor.
You have to reach ten centimeters before you can begin actively pushing the baby from your body, iam sure you know that, so being 1 cm is pretty normal for where you are.
You sound perfectly normal and there really isnt anything for you to do except keep your activity up so long as you're healthy, and dont worry.
Stress tests after your due date are quite routine in most doctors offices. But like I said, they do little more than stress you out and make you worry, If it were me i wouldnt do one, but thats my own personal conviction. They do them all the time, so you're fine. :)
Mop your floors with a wash rag. Its a great way to allow the baby to position iself, and enduce labor. Its been working in my family for generations.

Don't worry about it. The sonogram will tell them if the baby is in position....the stress test is pretty standard...the yeast infection is quite common and if you are 90% effaced and a bit over 1 centimeter I have a feeling that by Monday you'll have a baby!
Good luck!

Being effaced and dilated is good. Means your body it getting ready for birth. Sonogram is most likely to check the size of the baby and make sure everything is okay. Stress test is easy. They strap a monitor on your belly to see how the baby reacts in a certain amount of time and to track the heart beat. They are making sure that the baby is not having problems. Ask questions when you go for the test. They will be happy to explain everything.

when they say effaced...they are talkin about ur cervix wall.every week it gets thinner and thinner until finally it "goes away" and then ur babi is able to pass thru it. its what keeps the babi inside u.and some women become dialated a month before they are due.it's totally normal to be walkin around 1 centimeter dialated when ur 39 weeks.once u hit 10 centimeters and ur totally thinned out(100%effaced) then watch out...cuz ur babi is on it's way!!! as for the stresss test...it's also normal..they juss want to monitor u and the babi and make sure everythin is ok.and as long as they treated u for the yeast infection then ur fine too!! it's all juss normal pregnancy stuff...no need to worri urself.good luck with everythin!!

soon you'll have a BABY!!!!! congratulations!!!!!!!!! but everything sounds fine to me. they probably want to do a sonogram if you haven't gone into labor yet to make sure the baby is okay or it is in position. and on monday (if you haven't had the baby by then, which i'm sure you will!!!) they probably want to do a stress test to make sure the baby isn't stressed and that's what's keeping labor from beginning. but i'm sure everything is fine and think: by this time next week you will most definetly have a BABY!!!!! good luck and congrats!

look dont worry it's good to be traeted for the yeast infection becouse you dont want that to get transmited to your baby. and evrything else is just rutine. she probably wants to make sure the baby is where he/she is suppose to be. and the stress test is fine want to make sure you are doing good. thats probably why she is sending you for a stress test you worry to much just relax eat a big bowl of icream ad take a walk and enjoy your final days of pgrenancy.
Good luck on baby new arrival

If you are worried you should ask your doctor. I think you are probably okay. I was 40 weeks going through a similar deal and everything was fine...but if you have questions, ASK, doctors are used to it.
