I like going to the movie; that way I will not hear people talking about it, spoiling it for me.

Some films you just can't get the whole glorious affect of unless you see it in a theater. But for comfort and convenience since they've taken away most of the drive-in theaters, you can't beat watching a movie in your own home. You don't have to miss any of the movie to go get more snacks, or have a cigarette, or use the toilet. If you aren't sure what someone just said you can backtrack and hear it again. It's easier to cuddle at home.
The theaters and rental places are all 65 miles away from me.
So, my answer is C) Owning a movie.

A) Renting. It is cheaper. You can set down and enjoy it by yourself or with someone special without all the distractions of a crowd. You get special features. I can enjoy a martini, glass of wine or a beer. You can eat dinner or enjoy whatever snack item you want and not have to wait in line at the concession stand. You can pause it for bathroom breaks or if you need to for any other reason. You choose when you watch it. If you are really tired, you feel less guilty about falling asleep. Our entertainment system makes it enjoyable.

Renting a movie.
I am claustrophobic, and do not like being stuck in the middle of a long row of people for more than a few minutes (and i'd want to be in the middle for the best view). Plus i would need to dehydrate myself for several hours before showtime, because if i am paying that much to see a movie, i do not want to spend any of my time in the *washroom*.
But if i rent, i can pause, rewind, rewatch, control the volume, *all* the things i can't do at the theatre.
*And* i wouldn't be in the middle of a long row of people.
*And* i could go to the bathroom anytime i wanted.

Renting a movie is much cheaper. I wish they would just start doing direct to DVD and skip the theater.

Depends on the movie.
A big budget with lots of special effects, going to a movie.
One that is more plot driven, renting cos you can play when you want, etc.

B) I like the idea of sitting in an audience, eating expensive popcorn and candy, and watching a movie on a wide screen with high definition sound.
