its an ego trip nothing more, sometimes though some people are just jerks to begin with.

It's likely the same as it is with any brand of jerk. They feel that some quality they have (in this case athletic ability/talent) puts them above others and thus they don't have to respect people.

im a football player and im not a jerk, but i know some who r. and i hate them. the reason is that they think tht just because they play football that theyre special or something. most of the time theyre not even that good. most likely they sit on the bench.

Because too many fans and camera men wont leave them alone and they don't have their own life no more. They don't want to be bothered by anyone, they just want to blend in without anyone asking for an autograph. (Thats how all the famouse people are)

some guys think that there better trhan everyone else but im a football player and im far from a jerk so iv been told and im considered to be rather modest so please dont striotype the football players

bc theyre"kool". theyre not real people, theyre an image. and they have to live up to it like all the jocks before them. thats why some jocks feel pressure and resentment being stuck in that image. also, theyre are jocks and theyre are athletes. jocks are jerks who play sports that fit into the traditional jock image. athletes are people that play sports that dont let that image control them. ignore the jocks, they are nothing. find an athlete- or in my opinion- find an artist:)

Because their brains are so small the only thing they care about is tossing an odd shaped object (while calling it a ball) and tackling one another. not to mention with intermittent pauses of boredom while they set up again.
