I know how I hear some people saying that they try for months and months and months and nothing happens. Well, my boyfriend "came" in me 6 times since July 28 until yesterday unprotected. We are worried that I may be pregnant (AND NO, I don't need you to tell m how dumb we are or were....that's the past and now we're trying to get through it) anyways, we are currently worried I could be pregnant, but I also have thoughts that I could never get pregnant from him for months, even if he does "come" in me...some people take longer than others....how does this happen and is it a big chance I could be pregnant from these last few weeks of "activity"? The first day of my last period was July 24, 2006.

I am aware we could have created a baby and am willing to do whatever it takes to have a healthy and happy baby/home.

Yes, it does take some women months and months...or years to get pregnant. But for a number of others, it takes one time during ovulation (one of my friends has gotten pregnant twice the first time she and her husband tried each time). It depends on YOUR fertility not other women's. If there's nothing wrong with you or your boyfriend, there's a high chance that you could have gotten pregnant during the dates you mentioned. Most women ovulate 12-16 days before their period, not necessarily on cycle day 14. So, if you have cycles that are longer than 28 days, you most likely ovulate later than day 14 (and you might ovulate later than this even if you do have 28-day cycles). If you have 28-30 day cycles, you were most likely most fertile around the beginning of August.

Point to keep in mind: sperm can live for up to 5 days in fertile cervical fluid, so even if you have sex before you're most fertile, it's possible that you could get pregnant if the sperm are still alive when you're ovulating.

The only sure way to know if you're pregnant is to wait at least 10 days from the last time you had unprotected sex and take a pregnancy test. If it's negative and you still haven't gotten your period, take another one. Most women are able to get an accurate result within 14 days, but the pregnancy hormone does take longer to show up in some women than others.

It does not matter that you've never gotten pregnant in the past. It's mostly a timing issue and just b/c you've been lucky in the past does not mean you'll continue to be. If your last period was July 24th then you more than likely have already ovulated (if your cycle is normal) and since you have had unprotected sex you could be pregnant.

You mentioned you don't want to be told you were dumb so I won't but remember it's not just you and your bf being stupid, there's another life in your roulette game, so if you're not going to use protection for your own saftey and futures at least consider that.

Based on the dates you gave in previous questions, there would seem to be a pretty decent possibility. Assuming everything is funtioning normally, you have about a 25% chance of getting pregnant in any given cycle. Yes, some perfectly healthy couples take a year or more to conceive, but that doesn't mean YOU will. If you make it through this worrisome cycle, don't press your luck any further.

The first time I got pregnant was because of my b/f stupid mistake (it took only 1 time). The 2nd time I thought we couldn't have kids anymore so we was trying for about 4 months and out the blue I popped up pregnant. So there's a chance you could be pregnant.

i would say that you have a good chance of being pregnant, i mean there is the possibility that you might not be, but i would say with the dates you gave that would be during the time you ovulate if your cycle is 28 days so i would just wait a couple weeks and take a hpt.

If you plant a garden it will grow.

you have unprotected sex you get pregnant. end of story.

How quickly it happens or how easily it takes is all dependant on your health and ovulation habits and his sperm.
