Aviendha is a character in Robert Jordan's "Wheel of Time" fantasy book series.
I'm pretty sure Jordan made up the name.
Don't know what it means in Aiel or Old Tongue, if anything.

Please don't name your child some name that will be difficult to pronounce or understand. Names should be simple and not so complicated that you have to ask people what they mean. Perhaps you may want to name the baby after a realtive or look at a baby name dictionary before you label your child with a name they are going to hate for the rest of their lives.

Although the name Aviendha creates an interest in the deeper aspects of life, we emphasize that it causes a blunt expression that alienates others.
This name, when combined with the last name, can frustrate happiness, contentment, and success, as well as cause health weaknesses in the lungs, heart, bronchial area, and tension or accidents to the head.
As Aviendha you have a great love of nature and the out-of-doors.
All the finer things of life and beauties of nature are an inspiration to you and you are attracted to the mysteries of nature.
Difficulty in expression results in your being too positive, blunt, and candid in speech and although you are easily offended by others, you do not show it.
You crave affection and understanding, but rarely find it as others do not understand you and accuse you of being cool and aloof.
The average person would never realize the true depth of your nature.

Aviendha of the Nine Valleys sept of the Taardad Aiel is one of the main characters of the Wheel of Time fantasy series by Robert Jordan. She is tall and lovely with blue-green eyes. Her reddish hair was originally short with a tail in the back, and is now just short of her shoulders. She is about 5'8" or 5'9".

Apprentice Wise One. Aviendha has no close parallels in English or in place names, but it has a few suggestive parallels in other European languages. The name has a Spanish flavour in keeping with Aviendha’s fiery nature. Azienda means ‘business’ in Italian – certainly Aviendha also means business. Viendra means ‘will come’ in Italian, and avviene and avient both mean ‘happens’ in Italian and French respectively. Aviendha’s name seems to encapsulate both the determination and the fatalism of her people.

Are you a Wheel of time fan? I love that name. The meaning... hmm... not sure, you would have to ask Robert Jordan. I love her character though. Beautiful, strong, and fierce, yet gentle.
