I sure as heck do. Whoever said you can judge a nation and its people by how they treat their animals was right on. People who abuse animals are sick cowards as far as I am concerned. I also believe that people who torture animals are more likely to hurt other people as well. I also am in favor of making animal abuse a felony with mandatory prison sentences.
I am from Chicago (I live south now) and dog fighting is very popular in bad areas. It is common practice to set the losing dog on fire as it is dying to make it suffer. I would like to say I am making this up but it is true and happens all the time. And people wonder why our inner cities are so messed up!,

oh god yes!!! i was a vegetarian for SO long and then unfortuantely discovered the beautiful thing they call a medium rare steak! LOL but yeah all the way, animals need to be protected from all the cruel people out there who neglect and beat!

I've been of the oppinion that they shouldn't be needlessly beaten or killed for no reason. I do not think that there is any reason for them to not be killed for food though. Most animals are treated very humanely when they are livestock, but animals such as race horses and those used for entertainment purposes have a tendancy to be abused, and I don't agree with that. I also hate people who kill dogs and cats for no good reason.

i do. animals should not be abused because they have no way of knowing right or wrong. it is best to treat them with kindness and love.

i do. i am a big time animal lover. i cant stand it when people do crule things to them. it makes me want to do the same things to them and see how they like it.
