y is it that i always hear of white people being racists and other races rn't?

i don't want 2 offend anybody. i would love 2 travel around 2 different countries and learn their cultures and languages. the u.s. is pretty boring.

Alot of people claim that white ppl are the most racist... But I can not understand why... Every one is racist in there own way... Some things lately that are getting me is there is no white or mexican or asian history month, but there is a BLACK month.. On Nick Cannon's show I heard yesterday when he was having an interview about his new season he talked about "yeah i got this person and that person stopping by and I even got some white folks". Let another nationality (not just white) say some $ hit like that... It's one thing for a comedian to make fun of all nationalities because 99% of the time they are speaking real life.. But god forbid someone else, especially white ppl talk about another race and its all bad...

Simply put the world is a racist place no matter what skin color, religion or sex you are... It sucks but so does life.... Believe what you believe and let no one change your opinion... Your thoughts and opinions are all a person has... Just as long as that doesn't get taken then we are still human!!!

well we know it's not a true statement, all whites are not racist, elitist maybe, but not racist. that being said to most minorities around the globe there has always historically been a Anglo source for anguish in their home country, forcing Christianity for 1, imposing things that were not asked for or wanted by the people etc. also prejudice and racism are 2 different things i think most of us are prejudice

It's because most people nowadays have no historical perspective, and so they think that because whites held blacks as slaves, therefore white people are racist.

They forget that Europeans had little/no contact w/ Africans before the late 1500s. Before that, Arabs took Africans as slaves...Africans took Africans as slaves...Europeans took Europeans as slaves (The word "Slave" comes from "Slav"-Eastern Europeans taken as slaves by Russians and Western Euros.

Our brains developed to keep track of really only about 150 people. Anything outside of that, and we have to separate into groups (hence racism and labels). It's just easier for some people to think of another group as "racist"-that because there were famous cases of racism in that group, everyone in that group must be racist (though the stories of racism in other groups are never publicized).

I think it all comes down to this we all have a pinch of racism in us no matter what race we are it only matters how we act upon it . And if people disagree with this you should ask yourself when you here about some child being kidnapped or raped, what races come to mind before you realize what you are thinking, and also when you hear something about a serial killer, what race comes to mind then. Like I said it all matters how we act upon our thoughts.
