Bettas lay eggs, and the female is not really noticable larger when she is full of eggs. Is your betta actually losing it's color, and going white? I've never heard of this. (A betta may fade, gray in spots, or alter color slightly as it ageds, or as the result of diet.) Or is there something growing on it. You need to give us more information as no one can dianose your betta from the above statement. It's could itch/ick, or fungus. Or maybe velvet... Anyone who claims it's a given diease is just plain guessing. Take a look at the below link, or email me with more details.

First of all the male beta has flowing fins and the female dose not. do you have a male or female? if it's a male than it is probably sick or getting old.

if it's a female she might be full off eggs and they are no babies in them until she lays them and the male beta fertalises them . but you must understand one thing that ones he sqezzzes the eggs out off her you must remove her or he will kill her . and if he dont like her he will kill her and if she does not have eggs he will kill her .

so there are alot of things to consider. like the age of your fish what this white spot really looks like . is it fusy spotted or just plain white.

You might want to get some ick reliver and go to an aquatic store that specialise in tropical fish and ask them

Good luck

one thing if a betas stomach turns white is that its pregnant. put the beta in a different tank or container andd when the eggs are delivered take the beta out so the beta wont eat them

bettas dont "get" prego. They are egg layers. The male will make a bubble nest on the water surface and the female will put the eggs in there and the male will add his stuff!

I don't know what is wrong with your fish!

When you say it's belly is turning white do you mean the scales are turning white, or this are some white spots, or white fuzz on the stomach?

White fuzz could be fungus, needs to be treated.

please dont buy betta fish they are confined to dirty bowls and vases. These tiny glass enclosures are hardly acceptable homes for bettas, who, in nature, swim in large ponds and streams. Sadly, many people buy betta fish because they think that they can “save them.” What they don’t realize is that this just creates a demand for them, so stores will just keep buying more and more fish, condemning them to miserable lives as a trinket or accessory in someone’s home. heres a site about them
