Drink honey and lemon tea. Either buy it at the store, or heat up some water and add lemon juice and honey. Soothing and tasty.

I used to get strep-throat all the time when I was a child. It made my throat so raw and sore that I could barely swallow. My mother used to make a "tea" out of the following, and it works like a charm.

1 Tablespoon of apple cider vinegar (must be the apple cider kind).
1 Cup hot water
1 Tablespoon honey, or to taste.

The apple cider vinegar is an anti-oxidant as well as being anti-septic. It helps kill the germs causing the sore throat. The honey coats your throat, making it feel better.

Warm salt water....not too hot, but don't use cold water. Please make sure you wash your dishes in real hot water if you don't have a dishwasher. You got to get rid of the germs. Drink plenty of fluids to flush your system! You can something for the ache, I would take a sinus medicine, because alot of the time a simple sore throat turns into a ear ache. There are some wonderful drops you can get at the store, I use the Hall's with vitamin c.
But don't quit the gargling with the warm salt water. If not better in a couple of days, you need to go see the doctor to see if you need a antibiotics...before it turns into something worse....I hope you feel better soon. God bless us all.....................

I'm sure you have a "sore" throat... a southern down home receipe for a sore throat is to take about a shotglass full of vinegar and a like amount of warm water. Gargle half of it and swallow the rest. I've been using this method since 1966!! It works.
