By I zone I mean across my forehead, down my nose and across my chin.
I do not use foundations, powders or anything other the eye shadow & mascara. Whenever I look in the mirror or rub my hands over my face it appears to be soooo much oil there. What can I do??????

Well. I have used the oil sheets by clean and clear. They are GREAT! I ran out one day and never bought more. Also I use Black Opal face soap, and i use a Palmers cocoa butter stick for a moisturizer (after which I use my wash cloth to wipe off the extra oil it leaves). I'm kinf of nervous to switch brands. However I will try. I do not eat a lot of candy, or fatty foods, it's been this way since forever. Also, I wash my face twice a day

That's right - don't wash your face more than once or twice a day (in the morning and before bed) because that only leads to your face producing more because it thinks it needs to.
A REALLY good face wash is Cetaphil. I've used it for 4 years now and I'll never change! (I used to have really oily skin, too).
Also, buy those Clean and Clear oil blotting papers at Walmart (or wherever). They work really well - you can see the oil come right off!
You might also talk to a dermatologist if our advice doesn't help enough.
Good luck!

My skin can get oily sometimes too. What I do is...I use something that's made for oily skin...Like Oil of Olay they have a clay mask that you use 3x a week. And everyday I use their facial scrub. It has tiny blue beads in it..scrubbers. Then to get me through the day if I even need it I used this translucent oil-control powder from Neutrogena. It's called healthy skin blends and you just rub it on with a brush and it's not even fully make up. It has multivitamins and conditioners in it so it won't break you out or anything. It eliminates the shine and looks really nice. For all skin tones. Hope this helps!

How harsh is the soap you use? Some people make the mistake of using harsh soap that strips all the oil from your skin so that your skin has to work harder and harder to produce more oil.
You should use a normal soap once a day (maybe twice if you do morning and night) but follow it up with a moisturizer that is oil-free. I use CO Bigelow moisturizer from Bath and Body Works, but there are all kinds of oil-free moisturizers. Neutrogena makes a good one too.

So, easy with the candy and fatty stuff. I know, that it seems hard, but we have to take care of our skin even more for later when we women start to notice little wrinkles and stuff that annoy us. Well, you can use some deep cleansing formula in your face. Try Noxzema, it makes your face look fresh and clean. I use it even though, I am not and oily face person. But, hey we all need to take care of ourselves. Because, it is YOUR body and nobody else's. Use, it morning and night. And it is good you don't use foundation and all that crap. Try little wipes that clean your face also. Good luck! =)

Use the oil-controlling moisturizer and a light dusting of translucent powder in the morning.
Throughout the day use blotting papers to remove the excess oil. Do not overwash your skin, because it will lead to more oil production.

I have the same problem. Try using Clean and Clear (oil-free) acne wash, then after washing- pat your face with a soft towel. Don't over- wash because that'll just irritate your skin. Hope it works for you:)

i use some makeup called "Bare Essentials" and "Bare Minerals" it IS a powder, but it is very light and easy to use. it soaks up the oil on your face, and covers the zits while it repairs them. It's great, you should try it,
also, you should try carrying around some Oil Sheets to blot your fface with (not if you wear the makeup, though) and use them before sleeping
oh yeah!and Pro-Activ is great, too

Do not rub your hands on your face. You are adding oil to your face from your fingers. splash water on it and then you Must pat down with a clean towel. If you dont pat your just smearing the water on your face and makes it look oily.
or you can go to walgreens and buy the Oxy Pads Maximum

Try Loreal Pure Zone. It is an anti greasing moisturiser. They quote "confirmed effectiveness for less greasy skin". Its great, i was going through a shiny stage with this hot weather, and im happy with the product. It isnt expensive either under £5 for 75ml.

Clean and Clear Oil Absorbing pads. They are great!!! It is not make-up so you don't have to worry about that. The pads just absorb the excess oil...that is it!
