Israel has NOT existed until 1948 by taking over land that belonged to palestine, lebanon and syria.

For all of you who will actually care to be educated, zionists began to settle in palestine since the 1880's!! No one in palestine had a problem at first. However, they kept increasing in numbers by being sent year by year until in 1917 britain issues the Balfour declaration of 'the establishment of a national home for the jewish people in palestine". UN wanted to divide palestine and form tro states, one which would be Israel!!
As a normal reaction, the people refused to leave their homes and land. Conflict began and hence the first Arab-Israeli war.
In 1948, Britain's prime minister David Ben-Gurian declared that the new state would be "open for the immigration of jews from every country in which they have been dispersed".
Who the hell is he to make a decision for a country thats not even his!!!??
in 1949,Israel extended its territory beyond that allocated by the UN.

Sadly for the arabs and jews alike, the principle of partition is a dispute that has caused misery and bloodshed for more than 70 years and may never be settled.

The reason for this very brief history, is because people must know that the middle east conflict has existed for a long time. If you were in Palestine or lebanon and have been kicked out from ur homes just for another country to exist, how would u feel towards them? it is only fair that the people fight back for what is theirs. They have had their homes either destroyed or stolen from them.

my point is, everything Hezbollah is doing in support for its people and its country and to be able to get all the lebanese and palestinian hostages kidnapped is justified.

The media does not broadcast the truth. People should start working a bit harder in educating themselves...

Israel existed without the will of any arab country that it has taken its land. Britain and the US declared it as Israel. They have sent all the jews there. Why? Is it because they cannot deal with having the jews in their own societies? what about the holocaust?
they located a point on the map and decided to send most jews to live there. how thoughtful

***********SORRY
David ven-gurian was an israeli statesman.

oh and i am not against the jews AT ALL. i am only defining how israel existed in the first place.
and how people around the world disliked the jews and tortured them (ex.holocaust). and then located where they wanted them to live on the map.

If you want to go back that far you'll remember the Jews have called Palestine home for over 3000 years. They were evicted by the Romans during their reign. There is no such thing as an indigenous group known as "Palestinians". They are only the Arabs who happened to live there after the Jews were forced out. Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon and the other Arab nations have never done anything for the "Palestians". After the 1956 Arab-Israeli war Egypt was in controll of the Gaza strip and Jordan controlled the West Bank. Why didn't they give those territories to the "Palestinians" then? Why did the issue of "Palestine" not become an issue until after the 1968 Arab-Israeli war?

I don't care what your point really is. You may be correct. However in the end it really doesn't matter how a nation became a nation....We took land from the Indians, took control of the Louisianna territory because Napolean was desperate for money.

The fact is that Israel is a nation. The parties involved at the time were the controlling interested parties.

So screw Palestine, it no longer exists.

And what school taught you that David ben Gurion was prime minister of England? I really thought it was Winston Churchill.

It appears to me that you are too busy hating the Jewish people to think of much else.
