They probably have had bad experiences with these confident types that may have come across as controlling, etc. But some confident people are very nice and pleasant so everyone needs to be given a chance and not be judged because of a bad experience.

they shouldn't be . over confidence can lead to some really bad situations. sometime its best to err with caution. both sides have their advantages.
