What's the deal with these places, and what is a table shower? Are these legit or is it a sex trade?

exactly what you think happens. it's all illegal prostitution. if you ever come across an ad or someone saying they are some "cute/sexy/young _______ (fill in the blank with ethnicity) girl" especially charging a cheap rate... it's not professional. many places may appear to be legit, but they are not... if you are interested in finding out, go to the police dept in the city the business is operating in. they can tell you if it's operating as a holistic business or adult entertainment.

massage therapists should never have to use personal description to bring in clientele.

they give "professional" massage therapists a bad rep. we go to school to become certified, learn the proper techniques, the medical aspects of massage, how to charge for a "professional" quality massage, learn how to RESPECT others boundaries, etc. these "parlours" end up being our competitors and counterparts... which is very unfortunate.

what trips me out the most is that i know some people who complain that a massage is too expensive, but they talk about paying $$$ for a half-a$$ massage and get a happy ending.

it just makes our job harder.

table showers, i can only tell you from a professionals standpoint. if you receive body treatments (i.e., wraps, scrubs/polishes) in a spa, some places have a shower that can rinse you off while you're laying there.

They are not legit that's why they keep getting shut down.
But for some reason they never go after the women who advertise massages in the back the local free weekly paper.

What do you think happens in them? The Dallas Police shut them down all the time if that's any clue.
