CLR cleaner will remove it. although make sure you rinse it really well 6-8 times after. or you can go to petsmart (or some place like that) and pick up some aquirium cleaning wipes. thats what we use in our tank

The white film is calcium carbonate from the water and the best way to remove it is with a weak acidic solution such as vineger and water. then wash the bowl or tank well before refilling it.

Vinegar. It removes the hard water deposits and doesn't leave chemical residue like cleaners do.

easy...take a brush and clean it out ...be careful not to spread it though...very harmful...
