first and the most important thing is: what is the website about? r u offering a service? r u just selling stuff? or r u just simply expressing ideas? then u need a theme, a signature mark. then the most difficult would be designing the look and feel of the web page. i could help with that. for a price. lol!!

Start with a free site like geocities and if you feel the calling then you can advance to a real web-server. Learn your HTML coding and do not depend on "site writers". If you can afford the enormous cost, get dreamweaver as it can save you a lot of time.

first you need a program like dreamweaver, frontpage, etc to make html pages, or in free sites like yahoo they have html online editors for newbies, but i recommend all adobe macromedia suite if you really want to learn, and search some tutorials for html and play with the programs

There are many places where you can go to build your site and host it for FREE or PAY. www.godaddy.com , thats were I host my site. Most companies have programs to help you build your site. I would try www.godaddy.com, there site is very well answered. Another site is www.freeservers.com, that site is good, prices are ok. And they have FREE hosting of website.
