It's sad but the KKK is just like other fine fraternal organizations that were founded to provide an outlet for men to enjoy each other's company in a fun and civic minded way... just like the Masons and the Odd Fellows... I'm afraid the KKK is just a shadow of it's former, and glorious self and it's going away just as America needs it the most.

I don't think they are through, not by a long shot. Fortunately, they just don't have the power they used to have. I think this is mainly due to popular sentiment being against them. It's a lot easier to get away with burning crosses and hanging people if the local sheriff's department are members. These days, people usually can't get elected to a position like that if they are racists. Not even in Tennessee.

You're always going to have those opposed to different races living together harmoniously. Always.
I don't think that they are a structured organization, anymore, but more-or-less a foundation for certain groups of xenophobics that feel that white people are better than everyone else.
Whatever the reason, though, I don't like it. I think that we have passed the day and age where people's color should really matter to us.

I think that the KKK as an effective political organization is thru... they (thankfully) just don't have the respect or clout that they once did...
but they still hang out, drink beer, burn stuff, and hate people...

Oh, they're still around... but more people are less tolerant of their ignorance than before.
Will they become powerful once again? Doubtful... in this day and age of information, and forensics? There's too much risk.
So, now they're a buncha old racist sitting around talking about stuff.
One can only hope that they'll fade away... but, the Nazi's are still around, so... I leave it up to you to decide.

oh, I know there's still some of them somewhere...living under rocks. but most people with common sense these days won't tolerate these hateful maggots.
funny story here in St. Louis...they tried to participate in the "adopt a highway" program like a lot of groups do. they fought and fought to get the right and won. well, once they put up the sign with their name on it, people kept tearing it down.
that section of the highway was finally renamed after Rosa Parks! how perfect was that?
