You start by telling your husband the exact same thing you told us. Then you go to counseling and find out why your relationship is not as good as when you two decided to get married. Unless there was a gun to your heads, I am sure you had good reasons for choosing each other. Get back to that - and stop worrying about this marriage stuff. A marriage is just a relationship in which you committed to each other - and put it on legal paper. Get back to working on the relationship part.
Just because you have those rings on your fingers doesn't mean everything is going to fall into place.

i have been married for 5 yrs, and we have never really been one. At all, we are two VERY different people, and he is realizing this as well, we are trying to find some common ground but it has been very difficult for us to do.. Best of luck,, Do as I say and not as I do, I say BE HAPPY.... everything else will fall into place for you... it always does. sometimes we run into road blocks.. we just have to figure out a way around them and we are much stronger and better after that. Good luck

ME!!! And there's nothing we can do about it. My wife and I had a fight on the way to the reception minutes after the wedding. She was crying and we have been 2 seperate people ever since. Problem is, we were fighting about something she did that she knew better than to do. And when we get into a serious fight, this always comes up and she always gets mad when I mention it. I don't know what to do either.

WoW I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE FEELING BLUE ABOUT MY MARRIAGE. I HAD THAT FANTASY MARRIAGE AND ABOUT 2 MONTHS AGO MY HUSBAND KILLED IT. WE'VE BEEN MARRIED FOR 6YRS. I THOUGHT COMMUNICATION WAS THE KEY AND IT WAS GREAT, BUT SOMETHING WENT WRONG AND NOW IT'S GONE. IF I CHOOSE TO LET IT GO I KNOW IT CAN BE THE WAY IT WAS BUT THE UNFAIRNESS OF THE SITUATION KEEPS ME HOLDING ON TO THE PAIN HE CAUSED AND IF I CONTINUE TO DO THAT I KNOW OUR MARRIAGE WILL END. YOU BOTH HAVE TO BE ABLE TO LET GO OF WHAT EVER IS KEEPING YOU APART AND START OVER TALK TO EACH OTHER MAKE SURE IT'S WHAT YOU BOTH WANT. MARRIAGE IS HARD BUT EVERYONE SHOULD FIGHT TO MAKE IT WORK BEFORE YOU QUIT ON EACH OTHER. CHOOSE AND DON'T MAKE IT HARDER THAN IT IS, STAY AND LOVE WITH ALL YOUR MIGHT AND LET GO OF THE PAST OR LEAVE AND AND WORK ON HEALING YOUR HEART. I THINK I AM GOING TO TAKE MY OWN ADVICE ON THIS ONE. GOODLUCK!
