Yes. You can either spray them with water with a little liquid soap mixed in it or with garlic powder mixed in it. Either will do the trick without harming the plants.

There is a product on the market called Safers Soap and it works very well:

My dad ran a plant nursery when I was growing up and he found that Ivory dish washing liquid worked just as well, dilute about 2 table spoons in a quart of water and spray it on the foliage to repel chewing and sucking bugs, DO NOT soak the soil with the soap. Good luck!

You could plant a garlic pod in the pot. The acrid smell keeps away bug. Also u could dissolve a little asafoetida in water and pour on the plant. It is harmless and also good for plant growth.some pepper corn could be kept in the soil. Some of the plants with long stems should be painted with water soluble vegetable paint. After the bugs disappear they can be washed clean.

If you use your herbs to cook food there is a vegi. spray you can buy at the store. It will kill the bugs and the herbs will still be safe to eat. I don't remember what the spray is called. I bought mine at walmarts. Go to the garden section. There will be all kinds of different sprays to kill bugs safely on household plants and vegi. plants. It will be clearly labeled.

I don't know about the herbs..but with the regular plants you can spray them lightly with an insecticide ..then seal the plant in a small plastic bag in the shade for a couple of days...should do it....but you don't want insecticide on herbs if you're going to eat them.

You could try the standard home-spray for sucking and chewing bugs.
Crush an entire bulb of garlic, and a couple of cayenne (or other hot pepper), and let steep in a quart of water for 3 days. Strain into a spray bottle, ad a couple drops of liquid dish soap, and spray onto the bugs.

The best thing to use is a little dishsoap mixed with water in a spray bottle. Its safe for you and pets, plants, kids. Just set them outside and spray wait about 10 min and rinse them off. My grandmother has been doing it for years thats where I learned it from.

Misting them with some liquid soap will get rid of the bugs (probably aphids). After a day or so you can spray them with water again to rinse them off.

Go to the hardware and buy some "no pest strips".
Put one inside a garbage bag and put it over the plant overnight.
That usually does the trick.
