does anyone else think this is just awful that they are making a movie about what happened at the world trade center on 9/11? i mean it seems like hollywood is trying to make a quick buck off of one of the worst american tragedies. im sure everyone remembers what happened on that day and don't need a movie to remind them all over again. and i mean come on, nicholas cage as the lead role? although i am completely against this movie, couldn't they have found a better actor to play this role? i'm sorry it just drives me crazy that they have to profit from this, same with the other movie united 93. i don't know if they do, but they should donate all that money to the families of people that died on 9/11.

I think it's stupid that Hollywood made a movie about the 9/11 attacks five years after it happened. I think it is still too early to have a movie out. I have a question posted about if it is too early to have a movie out. Check it out. Anyway, look at Pearl Harbor. A movie came out about it like 55 years after it happened. I don't think that Americans are ready for a movie about 9/11. The rest of the world might be ready for something like that to explain what happened on that day, but I don't think Americans are ready this soon after the attacks, especially New York residents and those who lost someone in the attacks.

I saw the movie last night, I thought it was great. It wasn't about a plane hitting the world trade centers, it was about much more. It was about a true life story of courage and hope. It amazes me the strength of these men. To survive so long. The story was told BY THE REAL LIFE MEN. How was it trivialized? I don't get why there are some people say this movie shouldn't be made. Do you see how many movies are made based on real-life tragedies?? I don't think it's awful they made this movie at all. I think it was a movie that showed how Americans can come together in the face of tragedy. Was it too soon? Maybe. But if the families of those who died can say it is ok...than why can't we? Nicholas Cage was excellent as was Michael Pena. The movie was emotional. But I cried more because I am proud to be an American and the fact that people, from all over, showed their support. That is what it means to be American and this movie shows that and helps us not to forget how America came together. Everyone should see this movie!!

Okay, here's my answer. I think it was a good idea to make the movie. I haven't seen it yet, but I am curious about it. I am interested in the stories of the survivors. Yes, it was a horrible tragedy, and to some it may be too soon, and I respect that. I never saw United 93, because my in-laws went to see it and said that it wasn't that good.

I know your opinion and I am not trying to go against it. The World Trade Center was a tragic, emotional, and suspenseful movie. But it was also about two young heroes risking their lives to save the innocent. This actually taught me quite a few good lessons. I thought this movie was pretty good. But yes, I agree, Nicholas Cage? C'mon! Big actors in sad and real events!

It's a TERRIBLE movie. I saw it last week at a sneak preview. They trivialize the whole thing. It would have been better if they made it a story about more than 2 firefighters. Also, I'm a big Nic Cage fan, but they should have picked someone that wasn't so well known to play the part.
