I've known this guy since Freshman year and we have each other's aim screenames. Well, it started a while ago when I told him that I liked him. He texted me on my cell phone and said that he loved me. I asked if it was true and he said yes. Then two days ago I asked him out and he still hasn't given me a response. He never really talked to me a lot on aim or texted me a lot. When I try to talk to him it takes him a while before he responds or he ignores me. He rarely talks to me or anybody else for that matter. Please, I need help! We are friends right now.

i bet he still likes you he just is nearvous because he really likes you and since he was trying to talk to you and you answered he was probably shocked!!!

Unusual to like someone but not talk to them. Absurd for him to say he loves you if your only contact has been via the Internet and texting. Why not meet him and tell him that if he likes you he needs to kind and polite to you and show it , not keep ignoring you. Love may follow but not without knowing each other well first. Lust ( which may be what he means by love ) comes far quicker . . . .

Seems like this guy is best off being a friend and not a boy friend!!!! It sounds like he is immature and he wants to play games. This is a sign that you will get your feelings hurt so dont set your self up for failure.

Sounds like he's a jerk, to me. Anyone who tells you he loves you and then doesn't respond when you ask him out...or ignores you when you try to text him....
He was probably just playing one of those male games. "I bet I can get girls to ask me out if I tell them I love them."
I mean, have you never even dated before? If so, how can he 'love' you? Like, maybe, but love?
