I think that the time as come for a new manager.
for the last few years it seems to have been: if you get on with fergi you can stay, but fall out with him and you're out the door as fast as lightening. [stam, beckham, yorke and now rudd]

fergi has rested on his laurels for the last few years after the treble season and he has not hit the same form since then.

new blood, with new ideas and a new heart is what man u need now. that will toughen them up again.

the fans cannot really blame the glazers for buying the club. you cannot buy what is not for sale, and the clubs biggest shareholders were more than ready to sell out [especially after the fiasco with fergi and the horse] and once the big boys go the little boys will follow,
if it hadn't have been them it would have been someone like them

Glazers' American connection has brought in AIG shirt sponsorship 2 Man Utd.Alex Ferguson's undecided retirement is the most troubling thing 2 weakened Man Utd as Glazers r unsure whether 2 let him spend 4 a season n then retire the next.Glazers wil only invest heavily once the gaffer's commitment 2 the club is confirmed.

It's only weakened them financially

Perhaps Glazer has a contact in the Abramovitch camp

I give Glazer and Sons/co 2-3 years max (going by what's happened at Tampa Bay Buccaneers) before the other members of the Man U management board start dialing directory inquiries for the number of their local KPMG, PWC, Deloittes or E&Y offices (I think there might be one in Manchester city centre)

A certain amount of complacency had set in at Man United before the Glazers came along, and once complacency takes a hold it is very difficult to get back the killer instinct. To me that is what Man United are lacking, the killer instinct that they used to have.

When Bob Paisley was manager of Liverpool he would not let the players get complacent for one second, and that proved to be a major factor in why Liverpool won trophies left, right and centre virtually every year of Bob Paisley's managerial career.

When Dalglish left Liverpool in 1991 they went from being the best team in the country to being a mediocre team for a few years, and I don't think they'll ever get that total dominance back. Man United haven't slid as far down the slippery slope as what Liverpool did, but their dominance is over as well.

I think it adds spice to the Premiership now that there are 4 teams in with a chance of winning it, rather than there being 1 or 2.

I haven't seen any sign of that. The fact that players have left and some of the new signings are duds is not the fault of the Glazers. I guess if Fergie doesn't deliver this year he will be on his way. Why did Fartin O' Squeal sign a one year rolling contract with Villa? He has always made it known he wants the Old Trafford job.

Agree with cross sox. Its not Glazer's fault that Keane, Becks, Van Nistelrooy left and no world class signings have been made.

Fergie is to blame and he will go by the end of this season if they dont win any trophies.
