It sounds like a case of IBS (irritable bowel syndrome). The pain that runs through to your back may be caused by a build up of gas due to an obstruction. May sound hard to believe but when youre constipated you can suffer first with the runs!

Drinking peppermint cordial or alternatively, getting some 'colpermin' peppermint tablets can help as can eating flak seeds.

When i first suffered with this i didnt sleep ALL night and then the next day I was on my hands and knees because I couldn't straighten up!

They checked me for appendicitus and came up with IBS.

Although IBS is controllable, i hope its not and that you feel better very soon!!

Well I don't know if I would just sit back and wait...I'd call the doc if I were you. Better safe than sorry. I had similar pains and like others said on here, I ended up having gallbladder surgery. Not trying to scare you or anything but that's what happened. A quick call and/or check up wouldn't take too much time and would put your mind at ease (not to mention you may get some meds to help you).

Gastroenteritis - in other words, a tummy bug. You just need to wait it out and it will get better on it's own, probably within 24 hours. Take sips of water but don't eat anything. Imodium may help with the diarrhoea. If you haven't improved after 48 hours go see your doctor.

It's rpobably gall stones. I know--I'm the only female in my family who DOESN'T have them. My sister and cousin are having trouble already, and they're only 19.
The diarrhea is from undigested fats lubricating your digestive tract. The gallbladder slowly oozes gall (a fluid that breaks down fats in your stomach and intestine) into the stomach. When the tube that connects the stomach and gallbladder gets blocked, your digestion gets really f'd up, and you are in a lot of pain. Go to the emergency room.

You're still here?

sounds like gastroenteritis to me. Drink plenty of fluids and avoid food if you can.
Hopefully the Doctor will be able to reassure you and if it something different give you something for the pain.
He might give you some stuff to stop you becoming dehydrated.

sounds like what happened to my friend early this year. she had a gaul stone pop inside her. it could of killed her.

you should go to hospital. now.

she went and she was in for 4 days. she had to have x-rays and scans incase it was her liver. and she is on a special diet now so it doesnt happen again before she has the other stones took out.
