Got married in California, but now living in Texas. Can I file for divorce in Texas? Spouse has moved back to Cali, but can't file because she hasn't been resident for 6 months.

As long as you are a resident you can file in Texas.

I've been to California once but never lived there. I actually lived in Texas for 3 months and I liked it so probably Texas. I'm from Chicago by the way.

Call the Clerk of the Circuit Court for the County in Texas where you live, and ask them - each state has different rules

you need to call a lawyer on that, here if you live somewhere for 30days then you can file no matter where you were married. I think it is different in each state though.. I hope you get your answer, and Good Luck

From what I know and have heard you have to file in the state you are residing in.
