Not at all...you might be surprised to ifnd out how many people are into it...come to some understandings with your mate about what you will and won't accept...for most that aren't scared of the idea struggling in the ropes will heighten your sensations.

Weird is a relative term. What's weird for one person is perfectly normal for another. However, I would guess that you are comparing it with the mainstream of society.
In today's Western society (which is what I know), it is still a bit on the taboo side, especially if it is very open. However, it is definitely in the mainstream when it comes to private thoughts. There have been surveys that suggest that perhaps one-half of all men find bondage to be erotic. Also, it can be seen in mainstream entertainment, still as an edge activity, but at least visible, and the portrayals tend to be positive.
To answer your question, no, it's not weird. But then, I might not be the best person to judge that. ;-)

Weird is an illusionary sociological, interpersonal and self-construed construct.
It's also makes for a great compliment.
In all reality however, it really depends on the degree and psychological impact of the two people. If it's abusive and disgusting, wrong and so forth, it's beyond wierd. It's immoral and inethical.
When people enjoy self abuse, THAT'S when it's too weird.
But if it's for play, and the two people are respecting each other the whole time, and being sincere in their feelings of love for themselves and each other, adventure, etc.
Then pretty much anything goes.
But honestly, making someone defecate, urinate and so forth has nothing to do with emotional or physical intimacy. So that level is an extreme wrong zone, and definately too weird and inethical/immoral.
On the other hand, driving each other wild with physical delight and contrast as an expression of adventure, freedom and sincere love and respect, seems more natural to me than to remain repressed puritanical prudes all your life.

not too weird, getting more "mainstream" all the time.
A little on the kinky side, but it's okay if you love the person and treat them with respect. Torture, humiliation & degradation isn't good, but that's the extreme side of it. A little bondage game can be innocent, and pretty fun.
