yea the same happened 2 me only he was a lab it was the hair type i had 2 take him 2 the pound.... the i got a shih tzu and nothing happened my dermatologist said it was the hair type but i had an allergic reaction they looked like pimples

I would not limit it to your dachsund. It depends how long you've had him. If you just bought him and you are now breaking out, it is most likely the dog. But if you've had him for quite a while and never had a problem until now, it could be other factors. Sometimes it is the season, or even your pillowcase. But like the others have suggested, I would visit the doctor. Good luck! :D

Why not try having someone keep your dog for you, and see if your face clears up? That's how I found out for sure that I couldn't keep a kitten. If you do that, vacuum really well, so you place is cleaned of the dog dander. Good luck!

It's possible. You might get an allergy test to see if you're allergic to dogs.

yah you can .. i would go to the doctor and get an allergy test to find out ALL of the stuff you are allergic to .. that way you dont have to find out the hard way!
