Okay I'm a lesbian and I've been with my girlfriend for 1 year and and two months come tomorrow. And every day I come to love her more and more. But ever since starting to attend church, I have been feeling more and more empty. I've been battling with my love for God and the teachings of man.
I don't want to go to Hell and my head's been hurting over this for the past two weeks. I feel empty without my baby and I don't feel like I'm going to go to hell for loving her. I don't feel wrong for loving her so why don't I? I know that I am a sinner and I recognize all my sins but how come I don't see this as one? How can I love my girlfriend and still worship my dear Lord?

I don't know what denomination you are, but the last couple of years it is becoming known that the word 'hell' was mistranslated in the Bible.
Translations are only men's best attempt to translate ancient and dead languages into modern languages.
Some King James Study Bibles will show the reader in the margins or appendixes that the King's translators were incorrect in their rendering of 'eternal punishment' and 'hell'.
"when we remove a few unscriptural assumptions, a few pagan traditions, and a couple of totally mistranslated words, words that never appear in the Greek manuscripts, we will discover an even more profound love that God has for His creatures, rather than some monstrous god of eternal hatred which has been concocted by theologians and promulgated through bad translations for centuries".

I do not struggle with same sex desires. But, I too do struggle with other things that are sins. I struggle every day not to sin. Some days are good. Others , not so good. Everyday I strife to be the better person, that I know I can become.
As Christians, we struggle together against our sins.

I have battled with this myself repeatedly for the past two years but let me tell you something....I am more at peace now than I ever have been. You CAN be a Christian and you CAN love God without being riddled with guilt over loving a woman. Have you tried to find an MCC church in your area or an ICC church? These are gay affiliated churches. If not get on the internet and do some research on gay friendly churches that may be in your area or within driving distance. Find peace my friend!!! It's there!!!

It is great to know that you realise what you are doing is wrong.
Honestly, crazy as it sounds I too want to worship the lord but at the same time sin comes too me and I want to try new things for example I wanted to try something with a girl.
However, It is wrong.. and we know it thats what makes it so bad.
The reason why you dont see that loving her is wrong, is because when your in love you honestly dont see ANYTHING but what you're eyes want to see.
The important this is you go on loving the lord. And never!! I mean never leave the lords presents for someone else.. Think about what you are doing because no pastor or person could give you the right answer but your heart.
Keep in mind, people are decieving but the lord is always with us.
-Dont listen to others about finding another church, keep in mind you will always be accepted by some no matter where you go and hurt by many-The person who said god said pick one or the other was right.. rememeber in one of his preaching he said I dont want lukwarm-

I come from a very religous family and I am also a lesbian. I feel that love is love...and if God thought they way you felt was disgusting and a disgrace to his name, he wouldnt have made you the way you are. Do need to do what you feel is right. Maybe find a new church? I stopped going to church because no matter what I did, nothing was good enough and I would come out of there feeling worse than ever. Good luck though

I don't believe god wants you to suffer and be in pain. However, yes homosexuality is a sin. But aren't humans natural sinners? We were made to sin (that doesn't mean we should because we can). Just have a heart to heart with God. Say lord I know this is wrong but I am not strong enough at this point in my life to defeat it. Ask him to forgive your sins and if you mean it he will. Ask for strength to overcome the sin and until you do, if you ever, continue to love him and give your sins to him and he will love you back. And remember, God hates the sin not the sinner.

God has no religion only man so be careful that you confuse God's Suggestions for what man say's are God's laws. The christian god said it best "Love God with all your heart and soul and do unto others as you would have done unto youself" A jewish rebe escaping with the torah the time the romans burnt their temple was stopped by a centurion who promised him that if he could explain the torah while standing on one leg he could go free. Holding up one leg he said don't do unto others that which you would not have done unto you, the rest is just is just commentary. Dont hurt each other, share your love and kindness and you will be loved of god.

If you believe in god and want to be a religious person, try switching to another church. There's tons of them out there - find one that agrees with you. Nobody says you have to always go to the same church. Well, I'm sure that someone WILL say that, but that doesn't mean you have to obey them.
If you need help finding one, ask other gay/lesbian friends if they attend, and know of a gay-friendly congregation.

Unfortunately, churches nowadays help to only judge other people and instill fear in their followers. This is the reason why I stopped going to church. Instead of spreading love and acceptance that Jesus Christ taught, the church is mainly focused on how bad you are and how you will be condemned.
Honey, when you get to the very basis of it, you have to see what you really believe in. Would Jesus forgive you? Does Jesus hate gays at all? Jesus had a strong career in forgiving other people, being tolerant, loving, accepting, and promoted love for yourself and each other. I don't think Jesus would suddenly cast you to the bowels of hell because you're following his teachings of love. I think Jesus would be happy that you are a good person, and are following his message of love. Don't listen to church people. Read the bible yourself and come to your own conclusion. Remember, Jesus said that you don't have to go to church to be near god.

Hey you gotta keep praying and looking to GOD for your answer. My mom is going throu the same thing she feels it's okay to be with women and she's been attending church and meeting with the pastor and God is opening up her eyes. All I can say is nothing in this life is easy, and I try to live my life for God then he allows me to live it for myself, he opens the doors of my heart. He blesses me with so much that I don't know what to do with it. So if you look at it like your life, is to be lived for God and then he turns around and blesses you with the true desires of your heart, man you'll look at this some time from now and be amazed and praise God for getting you throu.
To many people live their lives for themselves and thier own pleasure, I got caught up in that with Sex and Pornagraphy and straight up I had to start praying and asking God to Stregthen me. Now when I get tempted I say these words "I don't have To Give In to Sin" out loud and it helps. God can help you change your life if it's what you want. People keep saying find another church, thats wrong the truth isn't always comfortable. Hell is real so is Satan and his lies. He wants you to stay in sin and be tormented with him. I am not condeming you, I think you are beyond corageous to come on here and talk about this. You were created to Praise God, He wants to give you so much we just have to try and live right. No one is perfect thats why we need him.
