I am absolutly sick and tired of seeing the next hot figure in next to nothing at a fomal even. See throught tops that show bra's, skirts under you butts, even older ladies have forgotten what a slip is!
As much as I love my ladyhood, I guess some old traditions should never leave, like manners and respect.

As long as America is free, people will dress how they want. My personal opinion is....If you don't like the way I look, don't look at me.

Manners and respect are fading, I agree with that, however; please keep in mind that an informal situation does not always call for formal dress.

There are some way cool fashions from back in the day! I'm actually upset that those styles of dresses and what-not are not around today. I would have loved to have worn one of those dresses with a bodice and petty coats, a bonnet and a parasol. It does seem a little warm for the summer...

But I do hear what you mean about all of today's fashions being as few stitches as possible. It's degrading and offensive and it seems to have become acceptable, which is fairly sickening to people with standards. I guess all I can do is try to come to terms with it while not going along with it.

i do dress from head to foot.
i would never wear anything see through
i dont wear my skirts under my butt, most of my skirts are knee length and either are denim or come with slips.
Ive never worn a micro mini skirt, and i dont plan on it.
I hate tank tops, unless they are under something. :-)
Ive worn a uniform for 7 years (high school and middle school). Would have been more if they had started uniform for elemantary earlier than they did (they started it when i was in middle school). Most of the skirts we wore were long pleated skirts, at least 3 inches below the knee, plus knee socks, and a blouse. Most girls i know wore slips.
Oh and, i <3 jeans.
So there.

If you're talking about covering ourselves from head to toe, then no way!

I understand where you're coming from. But education is the answer, not going back in time.

Shows like TLC's What Not to Wear did a lot for me. I was never that bad, but after watching that show, I did find I made a lot of mistakes, AND I finally realized that not looking good in lycra doesn't mean you're fat!

Exposure to this type of thing can eventually fix the errors made by one and all. But it'll be a slow process, especially when we're also exposed to gems like "Dog the Bounty Hunter."

I don't think we should go back to the time where we dressed head to foot, but i know what you mean about the short skirts and see through tops...i think they're annoying and disgusting at times. I tend to not wear those types of things because i think they're distasteful and uncomfortable, at least to me. As a college girl, i find it a lot easier just to wear jeans and a t-shirt cause I have no time in the morning to actually pick out something to wear and its a lot more comfortable.

I agree that we should be a little more modest than see through things and super short skirts, but theres no way I'm wearing like 50 layers in this kind of weather just to be "polite"

No, I think women should go back to the time when we had to wear nothing. How glorified those days must have been! Just imagine, you don't even have to worry about what to wear before work or school. Just wake up, shower and leave the house naked. How cool.

I agree that I'm sick of looking at hoochie mammas all around but don't you think it's a bit extreme to want to dress from head to foot again? Come on I live in Florida- too hot for that crap.

No, I believe that would be extremely boring to be covered from head to toe. But I also think yes, some outfits women are wearing now are outrageous. There must be something in between.
Fashion is fun! Let it be fun, just wear what you like.

I think you should wear whatever makes you happy, as I feel the same goes to all women, and men for that matter. Just be yourself. Some women like wearing next to nothing, some prefer to be more conservative, and it's ALL ok! Worry about youself, not others. Honestly, who cares?
