I got my ears double pierced six weeks ago and am ready to take out the starter earrings and put different ones in. The only problem is that the back is somehow stuck onto my earring so I can't get it out. My ears aren't infected and I'm not scabbing on my ear, so I don't know what the problem is. When I try to take the back off, my ear starts to hurt a little but it goes away quickly. How do I get the back off?

Try cleaning the backs with a Q-Tip and a dab of alcohol on it to clean any debris build-up on the stem of the earring. There could be dirt and debris that you aren't even aware are on there. Use a bit of the alcohol directly on the front of the earring as well.

Once it's clean, the backing should come right off

That happened to me on my first set of earrings. It takes some time to get it off and if it hurts badly, you should go back to the place you got our ears pierced so they can take the earrings off for you.

Good luck!!!

+ U can clean your ears b4 doing it next time so that your ears are clean - it is MUCH easier!!!

Some earrings come with backs that push on, but unscrew off...this is a feature that keeps them from being lost.

I'd recommend trying to unscrew them. Otherwise, I'd check in with the shop where the piercings were done.

I had the same thing happen to me. My brother got a pair of needle nose pliers, slid them through the holes of the back, pulled them apart a little, and they came right off. Just make sure you are holding the front of the earring when you do it.

You can put oil or alcohol on the back. Twist it and carefully removed the back. It realy hurts if you pull it so quickly.

You probably need to go back to the place you got them pierced and ask them to help because I don't want you to hurt yourself.

Put some peroxide on the backs and try and work them loose. If that doesn't work, get a friend to get them off.
