No they don't. I had a relationship with a man for 2 years long distance and eventually he met someone else. I was 20 and he was 21. I went to visit him and didn't tell him I was coming, what a way to find out. I really loved him and was very hurt by it all but how could I get too upset. We were 2500 miles apart.
Absence makes the heart grow fonder but too much absence makes the heart wander.

it really depends on the circumstances. I've had a few LDR. THe first one crashed and burned within a few months because we hardly ever got to speak to each other, and it felt more like we were friends then bf/gf. WE also started off LD, whereas my next relationship we were together for a year before he moved away, and we ended up staying together for another 6 months before calling it off due to different life directions.
My next LDR worked out wonderfully, and we're now married. He lived 12 hours from me but came up to visit every 3 weeks, and i would get down there once and awhile myself. But we talked for hours upon hours almsot everyday.
You have to really want it to work for it to work. It takes a lot of commitment; you can't be wishy-washy with a LDR becasue then you'll drift and ultimatly wreck the relationship.
Good luck to ya :)

No.
You will drift apart due to the distance and because you are both so young. (I speak from personal experience.)
But don't get all caught up in this guy. There will be others.
Are you the one that moved away? Instead of obsessing over the guy who will probably be cheating on you anyway (if he already isn't), make some new friends and meet some new guys. Enjoy your youth.

I am proof it can work. I left for college and my boyfriend lived about 4 months without me. The driving was terrible but I made it home about every 2-3 weeks. He now lives with me and we are graduating in the spring.

U need to learn how to spell before trying to work a long "distance" relationship.... and no, they don't work. It's easier to have sex with someone when they are in the same room as you, not hundreds/thousands of miles away.

Long DISTANCE relationships work out rarely. And by you being that young, I doubt he'll remain faithful. Just the facts.
