i am moving from my flat at the end of this month. i have furniture and i want to sell it. i am new in UK and i don't know where to sell. i know many of you will suggest ebay. is there any second hand shop (not online) i can go and sell my furniture in it?
and what about the removel vans?! does that cost much? actually i am thinking of moving without taking the furniture.
i want to sell it but i think it will take time in ebay and in lack of time.
please help!

If your flat is rented speak to the landlord as they may buy it from you and rent the flat as furnished. If you are selling the flat try to sell the furniture to the buyer. Other than that look in the Yellow Pages or the Thompson local (both are online) for a local second hand furniture shop.

removal van costs depend on how big a van you want, how far you are moving and in some cases do you want them to pack for you or do it yourself.
as far as selling your furniture, look in the local paper for second hand shops, they would give you a price for all of it. probably not a lot though.
you could always place an ad in the paper, or put a card in the local shop or newsagents window.

hope this helps

Depending on the quality you could have one of the Auction Houses examine it. If average, look up the yellow pages for secondhand furniture shops and let them see it. Last, but really giving it away, look up House Clearance.

Don't bother with removal men, just rent a van for a day or two, it's very inexpensive.
