1)The Carolina Hurricanes beat the Edmonton Oilers' 3-1. The game was played in Raleigh, N.C(North Carolina)where Cam Ward, Niclas Wallin, and Aaron Ward celebrate after winning the first Stanley Cup in franchise history. Defenceman Frantisek Kaberle scored the game-winning goal at 4:18 of the second period as the Hurricanes won the best-of-seven series 4-3. One last think Cam Ward(the goalie) was named MVP.

i love hockey. i been a fan for many years and still watch hockey even after the long strike. i know there are people who still watch it even after the strike. there are people who lost respect for the nhl after the strike began and ended. i think the fan base varies depending on the location of the team and how well the team plays.
