You will not find many American's who do know where the Basque area in Europe is or what Basque means. It is not a subject taught in school. My boyfriend and I go to a Basque restaurant in Dover, NJ called Jai Alai. Great food.

A basque is women's clothing term for a tight, form-fitting bodice or coat.
In the Victorian fashion, a basque was a long, fitted jacket, or the skirts of such a jacket.

I know that Basques are from Spain in the Pyrenees Mountains,but that's about it.You folks are kind of a clanish group! Beautiful women!Good Luck!

I am half French Basque, B- blood, now living again in Europe after my family left their town in the are of Tarbes, French Pirinee for a better life.
Do not be surprised, if you might mention E.T.A in your conversation, then somebody might notice a bit of what you meant, but now you would be in Guantanamo ...what a wonderful world........
