Is she sleeping through the day? Depending on how much she sleeps, you may want to keep her awake a little more during the day. I am a new mother, too. My son is 9 months and 6 months ago he woke up at 2:30am every night and was wide awake. He sleeps through the night now, but it was a matter of putting him on my schedule. Alot of people will tell you that you should sleep when your daughter sleeps, and in the beginning that is true. But eventually, you should try to keep her up as much as possible during the day, so she can get more rest at night. Also, when she's a little older and her doctor says its okay, we added a small amount of baby cereal to our son's formula for his last meal of the day. When he got it, it was such a change since the cereal expands in his stomach that he was very full and went directly to sleep (but like I said, don't do that unless your doctor says its okay). Best of luck.

LOL! i don't be conscious of any 4 month olds who sleep for the duration of the evening. that's carefully unreasonable to assume it at that age. basically because of the fact your first daughter did, does no longer advise your 2d will, have confidence me. My 2d is basically approximately 11 months and nonetheless wakes 2-three times a evening. She woke each and every a million-2 hours until eventually she replaced into 7 and a nil.5 months old, then woke 3-5 situations and now could be all the way down to 2-three times (until eventually she is teething or ill, and top now she is the two and infrequently slept final evening in any respect). My first slept for the duration of the evening (7pm-7am) at 6 months old. If there replaced right into a magic answer, each and every toddler could STTN from beginning. It;s element of being a discern. she would be able to sleep with the aid of sometime. must be the next day evening, or it must be next year.

My daughter did the same thing. I would put her in a footed sleeper at night, because she would kick-off the blankets. Then she wasn't sleeping very well, from kicking the air. So, I took her out of the sleeper and put her in a onesie. She slept a lot better after that. She just didn't want anything on her feet or legs, including the blanket. I had to turn up the heat, to accommodate her.

One of the best things I ever bought when my daughter was an infant was a "swaddler" it is a blanket that is sized to their bodies with velcro to keep it on. My little girl, now 13 months old sleeps on her tummy and still kicks both her feet to go to sleep! We always joke at home that she is rocking her self to sleep! Funny thing is that my husband swings his leg at night....he says its soothing! If you are worried about it though....just ask your pediatrician....heaven knows you will be there at least once a month!! Good luck...cherish each moment....they grow up sooooo fast!!!!
One more thing...buy a sound machine it is amazing how much it soothes babies!!! Not to mention getting them use to noises while they sleep!

my nephew is 22 months old and he still doesn't sleep through the night. but my son does. when he kicked his legs at night and was restless, it was usually gas. some babies know it is nighttime and the house is quiet and they don't want to be alone. my son is a very restless sleeper but he still sleeps through the night.

Thats actually normal. You may want to wrapping her in a blanket like they did when she was in the hospital. Babies usually love that snuggled in feeling. Remember where they recently came from, and now they suddenly have all that space, it's a little scary for them.

could be colic, or constipation, my son was like that when he was that age...it doesnt matter how many times you burp your baby there is still air bubbles trapped in there lil tummies... to help with the discomfort by laying them face down with tummy on both of your legs and lightly bounce them...it helps...

Try swaddling her. My son did the same. But he slept pretty well after my husband started swaddling him.
