I'm new to the arena of politics. Please don't bash me. I welcome Answerers from both sides ;>

Can anyone help me by stating some of Anne Coulter's major viewpoints in a calm and logical fashion?

I read many commentaries on Yahoo Opinions, including Coulter's column, but I can never finish her column, because it seems to have been written by a very spoiled and nasty teenager..

Every time I read something she has written, I see that *maybe* she has viewpoints beneath all of that hysteria, but what, pray tell, are they? I'm not trying to be sarcastic, it's just that I have a hard time wanting to find anything redeemable in all that guck.

In fact, I'm "turned off" by her personality before her message even comes through. Surely, she has *something* decent and logical to say?? What is it? Tell me calmly, please.

If you think there is nothing redeeming about her opinions, please state why- also calmly please.

Thanks! ;>

It's just that it boggles my mind to see her convoluted tirades regularly published, while many good writers remain unpublished. What is it about Ann that keeps people coming back? I mean this respectfully.

A decent and logical Ann Coulter is pretty much an oxymoron. Basically she spews hate towards anyone who dares disagree with conservative America.

She continues to be published because she feeds on hate. A lot of people claim to be good Christians yet read hate-filled rhetoric such as Ann Coulter's books.

Ann Coultergiest has a mouth as putrid as a Kamodo Dragon!
I'm not alone in my opinion.

MSNBC's Keith Olbermann: "Honestly, if you were Ann Coulter's attorney at a sanity hearing, where could you possibly start?"

David Letterman: "Here's what we know about Ann Coulter. She's blonde, she's single, and well, maybe someone will set her up with O.J."

Letterman: "Abu Musab Al-Zarqawi was the world's most unhinged lunatic. He's now dead. So that moves Ann Coulter up to first place."

Jay Leno: "Donald Rumsfeld said Al-Zarqawi was mean, vicious and hateful. So you know what that means? Ann Coulter could be next."

Leno: "Yesterday was 666. ... And the devil did not show up yesterday, unless of course you're were watching Ann Coulter on the Today Show."

And, hey, these guys were being kind. She loves any kind of attention any way.

Ann Coulter is but one of a number of FOX 's team of very scientifically chosen personnel to transform this great country into an Empire with a King for a leader..(FOX, the Conservative Dynasty and Network This has been in the works since Nixon and his Nazi sidekicks drew up the plan in the sixties, but was shelved in 1973 due to Watergate..Now the current leaders of our government have the opportune window of putting the icing on Nixon's plans of "King for Life"....If you follow the antics of Cheney and the Whitehouse Staff, plus the Cabinet personnel, it is obvious Mr. Bush will claim the International situation is far too serious to allow a NEW Pesident to take over and he will refuse to hand over the reigns to "ANYONE" except his folks and he will then maintain the situation forever even if the situaiotn improves..As you should have seen, he does twist the Constitution as he sees fit and will use that strategy (NOT STRATEGERY As Limbaugh, the President and Mark Levin call it) indefinitely....Think not right now? Watch the signs and manuevering. AS for Coulter, she is part of the plan to rile and anger people to divery attention away fro the real players. FOX is remunerated by Republican sponsors( over 90% of the customers) and they know they are either for or against Bush, or else if you are not "FOR."

Ann Colder is driven by hate. When you hear her talk it become crystal clear that she is in for the hate. It is less what she says, but more the way she says it. The hate filled undertone screams louder than herself.

When one thinks about what she writes it also become more than apparent that she is catering to people who, as herself feed on hate. She knows how her audience is and she knows what the audience wants. What professional wrestling is for the can squashing drunks is Ann Coulter for the hate junkies.
Some people read cheesy love novels, others want to see their enemy image confirmed so they can hate when they are "alone with Ann" and portrait the loving Bible thumper each Sunday. Yin and Yang works in everything. People who control themselves and keep the anger inside need to have a valve to release the hate, and Ann Coulters books and columns are the perfect outlet.

The only way to stay on Fox News where you can plug your books is for every appearance to be even more shrill, hysterical and lunatic than the last one. Coulter replaced Laura Ingraham becuase Laura made the mistake of engaging in nuanced thought. Coulter herself was being replaced by the even more shrill and offensive Michelle Malkin, a Filipino who wrote a book justifying the Japanese internment, and so Coulter shrewdly regained the spotlight by writing a defense of McCarthyism. The next quipster kewpie doll will have to bite the heads off of live chickens to get on Hannity and Colmes.

It's her attitude and how she deals with situations she is very nasty and she a conservative. She basically speaks her mind and besides alot of people love to read hate especially if it has something to do with the american people and what happens is that you see all these things happening with people trying to kill american people etc so in today's society unfortunately if she can dish out what she feels the companies will pay her big bucks to contunue to write about her hatred for whatever. She process alot of things incorrectly and she attacks likes she is a lioness on the prowl to feed her young. She is a good writer and she should apply that writing somewhere else instead of hatred of people and things because that is not right we have to many problems in this world today for all this nonsense

Ummmm well, she sucks. If she had anything logical to say, it must've been a long time ago. I have to laugh at Rob M and his left biased media....what channels have you been watching? I am looking for a left wing biased news station. Conservatives claim that everything is distorted by the left wing media, but from what I can tell there is no left wing media, just a bunch of lobotomized so-called journalists who justify their paychecks by spewing their hate, and Ann Coulter is a result of that. If we ignore her, maybe she'll go play in traffic and leave us alone. Dont apologize for what you feel, you dont have to justify yourself to anyone. She really is awful, and very rich because of it.

The reason coulter keeps getting published is the people she knows Ala rupert murdoch owner fox news. Also the media likes wackos it drives up ratings just like the trash in the inquirer people know it's crap but like to read it anyway just to see what foolishness has been printed this time. Coulter's views are no different than most Conservatives she just has her little hissy fits to get herself on TV, and TV is happy to oblige.

I’m a conservative, but I have a trouble taking Ann Coulter. I think she does make some real points against liberalism today, but smirky attitude is a little over the top.

I understand that, it is part of her act. It drive liberals crazy belong thought, and she uses it to win her debate. Once, you get over “her”, you will see the logic of her arguments.

Actually, Coulter is not a good writer and she doesn't seem to make much sense. What she does have is long blond hair, and is thin as a rail. She also likes to wear the same slinky black cocktail dress over and over and thinks that noone will notice. That is all she has going for her. That is why some people pay attention to her. She's not a fox, she just tries to look sexy.
