My friend said its illegal to look at other people's emails without them knowing, I know its rude but is it illegal?

I don't think it's illegal but the person who's email was read would get really pissed off obviously.

i don't think that it is illegal but that is just not right to invade in someone's privacy what if it was you and one of your friend looked through your email how would you have felt i just. i'm not accusing you but i just did that for an example.

I'm not sure, but I think so. I think e-mails are considered as private property and as confidential files and I don't think anyone has the right to look at them without permission.

yes i would think it would be illegal seeing as how you may be able to access banking and credit accounts ... i would freak if i caught you in my mail and anything wrong with any of my accounts i would blame you.
