If the guy is respecting you and treating you like an individual, then stay with him, because no matter what race he is a "gentlemen" is very hard to find. I am sorry to say this, but your friend isn't really a friend if she is telling you that your boyfriend is no good because he is white. A real friend should support your decision to be with that person, no matter ethnicity, religion, etc.

You should do nothing. It makes no difference what your friends say. This is your relationship, your decision. There will be many who will be biased due to the racial makeup of you as a couple.
If you're happy and he's happy it makes no difference what anyone else says. Some people just have a problem with other people being happy.

YOU SHOULD TELL YOUR BEST FRIEND THAT THIS IS A DECISION YOU & CHRIS MADE TO BE TOGETHER. IF SHE'S AS GOOD A FRIEND AS YOU SAY THAN SHE SHOULD EXCEPT THE RELATIONSHIP, UNLESS SHE'S JEALOUS OF YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH CHRIS. SHE MAY FEEL THAT HE IS COMMING BETWEEN THE TOW OF YOU SO PERHAPS YOU THREE SHOULD FIND SOME COMMON GROUND , SPEND SOM TIME TOGETHER, HAVE DINNER OR PERHAPS A CARD GAME. IF SHE'S SEEING SOMEONG YOU ALL COULD PROBLY DOUBLE DATE. ANYWAYS CHRIS SOUNDS GREAT, HE'S A KEEPER. TALK TO YA GIRL AND MAKE HER UNDERSTAND THAT THIS IS WHAT YOU WANT. GOOD LUCK

unfortunatly, some people just think that people should only date people in their race. But, maybe it isn't his skin color thats bothering her. Maybe he reminds her of a boyfriend or a friend she once had. What you might wanna try and do is, just sit her down, and tell her how chris makes you feel. Real friends would be happy for someone that makes you happy. Best of luck

That's WRONG!!!! First of all you are old enough to decide who you want to date, and you can make your own decisions. If you really like this guy the color of his skin should not matter one bit. And I think that your friend is the one that is no good cause she is a racist. And its people like that , that keep racism alive. I she really was your friend she would be happy for you no matter what she thinks .I say keep the boyfriend and dump the friend.

It sounds to me like your friend may be racist. If she was a true friend she would accept who ever makes you happy. And she should be happy for you. Chris sounds like a wonderful person, a keeper. Tell your friend if she can't accept Chris and continues to put him down because of his color, then maybe she just should stop being your friend. I hope this helps.

Honestly, it doesn't matter how your best-friend feels about him. It is about how you feel about him and how he feels about you. As much as she doesn't like him, she'll have to get used to him because you want him in your life. You should talk to her and tell her that you don't want to lose her over a guy and that if she was really your "best friend" she would support you and your decision. I hope this helps and I personally love inter-racial relationships and I wish you guys all the luck in the world.

Well Maybe ask why she doesnt like the idea of you dating a white guy. Possibly she she some unresolved issues or unfound assumtions. Maybe if you know why she doesnt like the idea you can help her get over it, or atleast just see where shes coming from.
