It may be that he took his "cue" off of The Green Lantern, and compresses his suit into a wallet size area where he keeps it in his back pocket. The boots can be stored in his shoes, as they can be inserts, and the stockings can be compressed down as padding...
He also could keep his street clothes in the store room, or where ever he changed at the time, or, maybe he has a way of compressing them also, and hiding them someplace, unbeknowest to us "mortal men" :)

According to the comic books, he crumbled them up and compressed them with super strength, except for the tights which he wore underneath. Since the material is from his home planet it is resilient and goes back to its natural form.

I ASKED THAT!!!! we decided that the cape is anti-wrinkle so he stuffs it down his pants so he can just whip it out when in need....
as for his boots, i guess theyre rubber and bendy and he can fit them in his pants too.

They fold up really tiny & fit inside the ear piece of his glasses.
