I had my last son at 39 yrs old...Go to a baby site and sometimes they can help with an ovulation calander...I did this (without my husband knowing...) and wrote out what days of each month it was "time" to have sex...it took me 6 months of heartache...but the last month I was PLANNING on trying..I was pregnant...You also have to NOT use the bathroom after sex..allow the sperm to stay inside you for about an hour...GOOD LUCK!! It worked for me...try Parents Centers web site...I THINK that's the one I used!!!

Most doctors don't recommend it for about a year, or at least what I've been told. My neighbor got pregnant about 4 months after she miscarried and now has a healthy baby boy. She was in her mid-thirties, but had a very tough pregnancy and lots of problems. Consult your doctor. Get checked up. The older you get, the more likely you'll have problems or your child. But if you're healthy and do all the doctor tells you to, and then some, you could just wind up with 6 children like my aunt who finally stopped in her late 40's.

I am sorry for your loss. I do not think you are too old. Have you ever had any children before? Have you ever seen an infertility specialist? I am going to see an infertility specialist next month and I am only 26 . My husband and I have been trying for almost 11 months. He has an existing problem so we will not be able to conceive without help. Best of luck. Jenni

Sorry for your loss, I lost twins a few years ago. No, it's not to late, but I would visit with a doc to make sure that everything is okay and that you are healthy enough to carry a baby. Many people are waiting till later in life. I am 37 and still trying for #1. Don't lose heart, honey, you still have a chance.

Keep trying; it will probably take longer and be more difficult to get pregnant now than when you were in your 20s, but it's probably not impossible. Get the book Taking Charge of Your Fertility, calculate or test your ovulation, and talk to a doctor if necessary. Even perfectly fertile couples can take up to a year to conceive.

Before you bring a child into this world which will grow and learn from you, go to school and get an education! Everything happens for a reason, you obviously werent ready for that baby. So do something to better prepare yourself for the next one.
