I was with a girl for two years. We got engaged. There were times when things weren't great, actually, there was one point where she treated me so badly that I became slightly suicidal, but I never gave up, because I knew how happy we could be when things were right. We worked it out then. But then, about 6 months later, she stopped having fun for the first time, and just gave up. She didn't try, she didn't even tell me what happened. What's worse is, instead of just letting me go, she dragged me along. She told me she still loved me, but two weeks after we broke up she got a new boyfriend. She had told me that she would call when she made up her mind on whether she wanted to work it out or not, but she never did. I found out because I caught them making out in his car.

I wish I could stop loving her, but I can't.

I love her and want nothing more than to be with her, but I know that can't happen.

What can I do? I miss her, I miss my best friend.

It's time for you to move on too. Loving someone who doesn't love you back is an awful thing. I think most of us have been on either side of this. You have to give yourself a chance to let go. You are still focusing on the relationship that is over and you should look ahead instead. Decide what makes you happy and build an independent life for yourself. Then you can find someone who compliments your life, instead of finding someone to center it around.

That sounds awful. It will get better with time, though. Surround yourself with family and friends. Look for the positives in life. It really sounds like you'll be better off without this girl. She jerked you around a bit.

you are heart broken. i was like that one time. i thought there were no future for me and i can't find someone like him in this world again. i was right, i couldn't find someone like him. But I did find someone better than him! I am now glad that he choose to broke up with me and marry someone 1 month afterward, that proves how much he cares about me! Of course I cried and cried like I was going to die. But i find the strength when he announce his marriage. He doesn't need to see me how much he hurt me and i much i care about him even thought he treated me bad! Time will heal you. Don't expect too much from your best friend, she had a life to live and that doesn't mean every scence incuded you. You need to have fun with someone else and keep your life fullfill and if she wants you back, you just might so nay!

I know you wont believe this now , but it WILL get easier for you.
Go out with your friends , visit your family and eventually with time the pain you feel will ease.
And dont feel bad talking about how you are feeling, talking always makes things better.

I wish you luck and love xxx
