It is possible for your body to think it's pregnant and feign the pregnancy symptoms. It's a psychological condition known as pseudopregnancy or pseudocyesis. In this case, you would not have elevated levels of the hormone HCG, so you would consistently get a negative pregnancy test. You need to speak with an OB Gyn doctor about this. Good luck!

Hi,

It is very much true that if a woman wants to be pregnant really bad that they can experience all the symptoms of pregnancy and not be pregnant. It triggers symptoms because of change in hormone due to wanting to be pregnant.

You can make your body think you are having a baby, but you probably will not. You're just lying to your body and that can make it worst. So just go on with your daily life and try not so hard to think about it. Just keep trying but not so hard that it'll ruin it. Or another suggestion is to see the doctor and see if there is anything wrong with your body. But good luck, don't worry you guys will have a beautiful baby.

Yes. That is called a pseudo cyesis (a/k/a false pregnancy). You will have all the symptoms of pregnancy as well... but no baby.

I agree with the other poster, but if u are trying to get pregnant --- stop thinking so hard about it. Stress (over trying to conceive) can affect getting pregnant. Just relax and enjoy each other. It's going to happen if you keep trying ---- but (and this is in the nicest way, believe me) dont try so hard. It happened to me. My hubby and I would try so hard to the point where I wouldnt get pregnant. Eventually, I stopped thinking about the "goal", and enjoyed the sex with him to where I ended up preg in no time. Good luck!

you can't fake hcg, so you can't get a false positive preg test, even though you 'imagine' other symptoms. Being that preoccupied definately can stop you concieving- try to relax. Good luck
